The National Hydrogen Fund, Ltd.
A Venture Capital Fund for the Commercialization of Hydrogen Technologies

by Dr. Barry Stevens
The National Hydrogen Fund is a novel and exciting venture capital fund that invests in emerging companies which are involved in the commercialization of hydrogen related technologies for use as an alternative source of energy. In addition, the Fund has established an innovative strategy which balances the high-risk earnings potential of these start-up companies with the insurance of a given return from other investments in fixed-income securities. In this way, the Fund is uniquely positioned to generate reasonable to excellent return on investments.

By combining this novel approach to investing, investors are assured reasonable earnings from the fixed-income investments and possibly excellent returns from the venture investments. But more importantly, the National Hydrogen Fund and its small group of dedicated investors are participating in the growth of a new industry which is vital to the economic, social and environmental success of America.

Hydrogen Program, Projects

The Fund is formed to help facilitate the Hydrogen Program, which is designed to develop a hydrogen-based energy system for widespread use in electrical utilities, businesses, homes, and vehicles. As a renewable, sustainable, and practical energy source, hydrogen has the potential to be produced, stored/transported, and utilized at competitive prices. In addition, this initiative is critical to the success of our nation in terms of reducing oil imports, improving the economy, and reducing climate-changing emissions and other pollutants. These goals are being accomplished by investments in research and development programs in the areas of hydrogen production, hydrogen storage/transportation, and hydrogen utilization.
