11th Hydrogen Meeting Set for February

The planning for NHA’s 11th Annual U.S. Hydrogen Meeting has begun, and we want everyone to be a part of this exciting meeting. The Sheraton Premiere at Tyson’s Corner in Vienna, Virginia, U.S.A., will serve as the venue again this year, and the meeting will take place 29 February-3 March 1999.

This year’s theme, “Hydrogen, The Universal Fuel,” is an accurate reflection of the way that hydrogen has begun and will continue to shape the future of power generation. We are looking forward to a meeting that focuses on the versatility and universality of hydrogen as an energy source. Already, fuel cells are being used as primary sources of power in many different applications. Fuel cell demonstration vehicles will be on display and available for “Ride and Drives” as well as small-scale fuel cells that will one day power your home. The 11th Annual Meeting will include presentations on demonstration projects around the world and the benefits of hydrogen as an energy source to the public both economically and environmentally.

The NHA Board of Directors has voiced a desire to increase sponsorship for this meeting. We ask that all of our members strive to help us become less dependent on uncertain federal funds by pledging support of the 11th Annual Meeting with elevated levels of sponsorship. Support of the meeting can be demonstrated by exhibiting at the meeting, participating in vehicle demonstrations, presenting a poster during the Industry Reception or a paper, or by sponsorship.

We at the NHA look forward to another high-quality meeting that will allow the diverse group of attendees to move closer to the commercialization of hydrogen energy technology.
