NHA Rejuvenates Its Committees

At its June 12th meeting in Vancouver, the Board of Directors approved a staff recommendation to increase the effectiveness of our member standing committees.  We have five committees which have had varying levels of activity and the Board has decided that the overall impact and effectiveness of the NHA can benefit from more active member committees.

More information will be sent to members on our interest in broadening committee membership, and the announcement of upcoming meetings.  It is expected that much of the work of the NHA will move from the Board to the committees, and that future Board actions that relate to committee activities will emanate from the committees themselves.

The rejuvenation of NHA member committees is but one step in a series of changes that the Board is implementing over the coming months to increase the impact and effectiveness of the NHA in the priority areas of Policy, Education and Outreach, and Codes and Standards.
