In the U.S. alone, oil imports drain more than $1 billion from the economy every week. Big cities around the world are becoming smog pits because of pollution from fossil fuel-based energy supply. Converting to a hydrogen-based economy would reduce the dependence on oil from politically unstable regions, provide for clean air, and create jobs. At the NHA  Annual Hydrogen Conference 2005, held in Washington, DC from March 29 to April 1, 2005, opinion-leaders and decision-makers from across the globe will meet because they have one common goal: to speed the commercialization of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies for a cleaner, safer energy future. “Partnering for a Global Hydrogen Economy” is the theme of the 16th Annual Conference & Expo USA, hosted by the National Hydrogen Association (NHA) and German-based trade show organizer Freesen & Partner GmbH.

After this year’s great success in Los Angeles, CA, the conference and expo will return to the nation’s capitol in 2005. Attendance is expected to total 2,000 delegates with visitors from North America and overseas. 70+ exhibitors will showcase a wide range of solutions for the hydrogen supply chain, fuel cell manufacture, quality management and applications. One of the highlights will once again be the hydrogen vehicle ride and drive.

In 2003, Freesen & Partner joined forces with the NHA to combine the latter’s well-established annual conference with the Hydrogen Expo concept “imported” from Europe. There H2Expo, launched by Freesen & Partner in Hamburg, Germany in 2001, has become the leading European exhibition and conference for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.
