HyRadix Inc. announced today an Asian manufacturer has selected HyRadix to supply its hydrogen needs using Aptus™ on-site hydrogen generation units.  For the project HyRadix will supply three Aptus units, each providing 100 Nm3/h of high purity hydrogen from natural gas.  The hydrogen will be used in the customer’s existing oil hydrogenation facility.

“Through our focused development and commercialization efforts, we are changing the industry’s perception of on-site hydrogen generation,” said Robert Gray, President and CEO of HyRadix.  “The simplicity of design and the operational flexibility of the HyRadix autothermal reformer makes on-site hydrogen production more economical at lower capacities than previously available.”

The manufacturer will replace existing electrolyzer systems with the Aptus units purchased from HyRadix.  Using proprietary high pressure auto-thermal reforming technology, HyRadix’s Aptus hydrogen generator converts natural gas or LPG into high purity hydrogen for industrial applications.  HyRadix employs the same innovative technology in its Adéo™ on-site hydrogen fuel generator.  SunLine Transit Agency of Thousand Palms, California has been relying on an Adéo unit for all of its hydrogen fuel needs since the equipment was installed by HyRadix earlier this year.

HyRadix, based in Des Plaines, Illinois, is dedicated to the development and global commercialization of hydrogen generation technology for hydrogen vehicle refueling, industrial applications and for fuel cells.  Using an innovative combination of technology and equipment, HyRadix’s hydrogen generating appliances produce hydrogen from the common infrastructure fuels, natural gas and LPG.  For more information, please visit  www.hyradix.com. ©2005.
