National Hydrogen Association

The National Hydrogen Association would like to welcome the following new members and affiliate organizations into the Association in the fourth quarter of 2005:

Purdue University
Purdue University's Energy Center at Discovery Park has a vision to "significantly contribute to the development of the energy solutions society is currently seeking as we prepare for the eventual transition from fossil fuels to other energy sources." As part of this vision, the Energy Center has announced plans for the first Annual Hydrogen Initiative Symposium April 5-6, 2006. Center for Energy & Economic Development (CEED)
Abundant, affordable, and cleaner than ever: it's no wonder that coal-based electricity provides more than 50% of America's electricity. Despite its role in providing essential, affordable, and increasingly clean power, coal-based electricity has its detractors. This opposition is often based upon incorrect information or outdated beliefs.

The Center for Energy and Economic Development (CEED) is a non-profit group dedicated to protecting the viability of coal-based electricity. Working at the local, state, and regional levels, CEED communicates the truth about coal - conducting research, dispelling falsehoods, and educating the public and government officials about coal-based electricity's importance to our way of life.

CEED's work has a profound impact on our nation's energy security and in promoting economic growth and, improving air quality throughout the United States.

Fuel Cell South
FuelCellSouth was formed as an outgrowth of the collaborative work between industry and researchers in the Southeastern United States to identify and index the opportunities for collaboration in the delivery of fuel cell-based solutions in the commercial and consumer markets. A key deliverable from this work has been the characterization of key barriers to market adoption and industry growth for fuel cell products and services; FuelCellSouth is pleased to partner with its regional industry sponsors and the National Science Foundation's Center for Fuel Cell Research at University of South Carolina to provide opportunities for business and technical collaboration among researchers, entrepreneurs and industry in support of building the fuel cell and hydrogen economy in the Southeastern United States.

American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE)
The American Council On Renewable Energy, a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization in Washington, D.C. is focused on accelerating the adoption of renewable energy technologies into the mainstream of American society through work in convening, information publishing and communications.
